The forecasting results are accurate and the processes are totally automatic. The applications supplied are based on AleaSoft Forecasting Methodology and they combine AleaSoft Neural Networks and General Statistics. Electrabel currently has over 29 000 MW of power generation across Europe. 21 April 2006 – Benelux-based energy supplier Electrabel has announced that its new power station in Castelnou, Spain has been synchronized with the Spanish transmission grid operated by Red Eléctrica de Espagna (REE) producing its first power for the grid on 10 April. This power station, the only one authorized to date within the Community, will cover 28 per cent of its annual consumption needs. The construction of this power station represents an investment of €500m.
