Prior to that he was with Rosenblum Cellars (a unit of Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines, now Treasury Wine Estates), where he began as an intern in 2001 and rose to Senior Winemaker, working closely for nine years with founder and California wine icon Kent Rosenblum. During Kane’s 14-year career there, Rosenblum Cellars’ production grew from 45,000 to 350,000 cases and Kane oversaw relations with more than 80 winegrowers.In his newly created position with Fetzer Vineyards, Kane will lead winemaking for the company’s flagship brand, Fetzer, and contribute to innovation and quality improvements for all brands in the company’s portfolio. He later earned a Winery Accounting Certificate from Sonoma State University.
